Signage regulations for bakeries

Arrêté n°78-89/P relatif au prix du pain et des produits de viennoiserie et de pâtisserie fraîche.
For each category of bread, sales outlets must display a sign at least 15 cm long and 2.5 cm high.
For loaves weighing more than 200 grams, the weight, the price per piece and the selling price per kilogram must be indicated.
(Indicate whether loaves are sold by weight or by piece.)
The sign must be fixed to the base and the middle of each of the racks or shelves where the loaves are displayed.

Main sign:


A white sign, printed in black, entitled "Bread Prices" lists for all categories of bread offered for sale:
its precise name
its weight
The price per piece
The price reported per kilogram
This poster must be visible from the outside.
This main sign* must comply with specific criteria:
Height of at least at least 40cm,
Width of at least 30cm,
To be displayed at all points of sale, at a maximum height of two metres above the shop floor.

Dimensions of characters used for the main sign and poster:
Title letters: H: 2.5 cm x W: 1.5 cm
Text letters: H: 2 cm x W: 1 cm
Text letters : H: 1 cm x W: 0.5 cm

Secondary poster:


EU Regulation 1169/2011 on additional display affixed in a window and visible from the outside. The dimensions of the characters and the poster may be reduced by half compared to the main poster*.
Height of at least at least 20cm,
Width of at least 15 cm.
